Prof. Shaoping Bai

Aalborg University, Denmark

Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aalborg University, Denmark, and founder of the tech startup BioX ApS. His research expertise focuses on sensing technologies, human-machine interaction, and exoskeleton development. He has led multiple nationally and internationally funded research projects on exoskeleton systems.

He is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the IEEE CIS-RAM Best Paper Award (2017), MEDEF Best Application Paper Award (2018), WearRAcon Innovation Challenge Award (2018), and MESROB Best Student Paper Award (2023).

He has served as an Associate Editor for prominent journals such as the ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics (ASME JMR) and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (IEEE RAL). Currently, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFTOMM).
